Meet Lindsey!
Lindsey Reis (she/her) is a queer-identified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate practicing in North Carolina. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Substance Use from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNC Wilmington, with a minor in Neuroscience.
Lindsey brings five years of experience supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals across a wide range of clinical settings, including substance use recovery programs, inpatient and residential treatment for teens, correctional facilities, group homes, and community mental health. These experiences have shaped her understanding of the full continuum of care and allow her to provide support that is both systems-aware and deeply individualized.
Lindsey recognizes that starting therapy can be a courageous (and sometimes scary) first step. She is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space where you can show up authentically, explore with openness, and move at your own pace. She hopes therapy can be a soft landing; a place where you can slow down, tune in and connect with yourself, and feel empowered to make meaningful and values-aligned change. Whether you’re feeling disconnected, anxious, overwhelmed, or simply curious about understanding yourself more deeply, she is here to support you.
Her therapeutic approach is relational, collaborative, and grounded in humility. Lindsey views clients as the experts of their own experiences and aims to be a steady guide through the inevitable twists and turns of their healing processes. She integrates a range of evidence-based practices including parts work (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical and Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and express arts approaches. She tailors sessions to fit each client’s needs and comfort. Lindsey welcomes questions about therapy and the approaches she uses. She believes that when clients understand what’s happening in the therapy space, they feel more empowered in their treatment and that’s when real growth happens.
Lindsey works with individuals ages 14 and up, with areas of focus including LGBTQIA+ identity exploration, substance use and recovery, trauma, life transitions, anxiety, and mood disorders.
You are welcome and accepted here exactly as you are. Lindsey looks forward to connecting
with you.

Fun Facts
Outside of the office, Lindsey is happiest when she’s exploring new cities, treasure-hunting in thrift and antique stores, working on diamond paintings, or relaxing by the water. She also loves spending time with loved ones and her two very spoiled cats, Louie and Pippa. She’s also a coffee-shop enthusiast, fidget-toy collector, and a devoted music lover who believes concerts are a great place to experience true community and joy.
