Frequently Asked Questions

Find out more information below to frequently asked questions about insurance coverage, appointments, and services offered.

Insurance & Fees

What insurances do you take?

Most of our clinicians currently accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina PPO Plans ("Blue Options" is an example) and the BCBSNC State Health Plan.

We are NOT in network with BCBS limited network plans including Healthy Blue, or Blue Home/Blue Local (UNC Alliance, NOVANT Health, Wake Forest Health, etc).

Can I still work with you if you are out-of-network with my insurance provider?

Yes, we can! If you are using your "out-of-network" benefits on any insurance plan, we will gladly provide Superbills as requested. A Superbill is a document you submit to your insurance provider using your "out-of-network" benefits where the insurance company reimburses you directly for all or a portion of the amount paid. We have a free estimator tool on our Services & Fees page to help you determine what "out of network" benefits your plan may have. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about Superbills and insurance.

Can I pay out of pocket?

Yes, we do a "fee for service"option as well, where an individual can choose not to work with any insurance for services, and pay our "private pay" fees. They are listed on our "Services and Fees" page. Additionally, we offer sliding scale to a percentage of our caseload based on financial need. Please contact directly for more info about sliding scale and availability.

Logistics & Other Policies

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24-hour notice of any appointment cancellation. If not canceled within 24 hours prior notice of your scheduled appointment (or a no-show), a cancellation fee of $100 will be charged to the card on file.

How does Teletherapy work?

Teletherapy is a lot like in-person therapy! We ask that the patient has a quiet, private space to conduct their session in, and that they have a good connection to the internet. Patients can use a mobile device or a laptop for this option, and we will share ahead of time info about any apps or website addresses the patient will need to connect to their therapist. The initial session gives us the time to get to know one another, go over some paperwork and start to think about our goals for therapy and working together. We will discuss what has and has not worked for you in the past, so we have a solid starting foundation.

Where is in-person therapy offered?

In-office appointments are offered at our office located in Cary, North Carolina. These are by appointment only, and are limited to certain days or times by clinician. Currently, Chelsea and Marlie are the only clinicians offering in-person appointments.
